STUDIO AND LOCATION

Laurence Edwards’ studio and Foundry works are situated on the edge of the beautiful Butley creek in Suffolk (UK). It’s habitat landscape and histories have developed into the main resource for his work. His work attempts to do justice to the locality and its history, by peopling it with large figures that have survived the ravages of the water and the elements.

Projects underway at the moment are:

'The Creek Men' three 8ft figures were floated on a raft up the Alde to Snape Maltings (Suffolk) for the Aldeburgh Festival June 2008, they returned in December 2008.

'Orion' a 9ft bronze figure was commissioned and sited in the Pyrenees in France. in the autumn of 2008

'Maquettes and Studies' thumbnails show recent small works from the studio.
